Lawrence Brittain always had a passion for woodwork and craftsmanship. While rowing full time for the South African National Team and chasing the Olympic dream, he found himself switching off by woodworking in his garage. After reaching his goal of an Olympic medal, it was an easy decision to swap the water for wood and custom carpentry.

Lawrence purchased Simply Divine Carpentry and seized the opportunity to showcase his hard work and determination elsewhere. The company thrived, leading to the need for additional leadership; this is where Charles Stevens entered the scene. With a wealth of experience leading successful teams in both rowing and business, Charles seamlessly integrated into the SDC team. Together, as partners, they now steer SDC with the same ethos of hard work, dedication, and precision.
